Advaita Hub

About this site

What this site is, how teachers get into it, where the texts come from, and what it does not do.

What is this site?

Advaita Hub describes teachers of Advaita and related spiritual paths: what each teaching is about, who it is meant for, where one can start, and the sources that document it. It lists their upcoming gatherings and a library of their works and short passages. It is made by one person, with no organisation behind it, and it is free to use.

How do teachers get into the catalog?

A teacher is admitted by the editor, and only when there are concrete, attributed indications of recognition: by other teachers or by a tradition, named with their source. Fame, an entry in a directory, titles or a person’s own claims of awakening are not enough. A small invited circle votes on candidates; the votes inform the decision, they do not make it. Missing evidence is no statement about a person.

Why is someone missing?

Either nobody has researched them yet, the research is still running, or the evidence did not meet the rule above. You can suggest a teacher on the contact page; a suggestion starts a review, it does not add a profile.

Where do the texts and quotations come from?

The descriptions are our own and are written to be recognisable as ours: plain, without recommendations and without promises. Quotations are reproduced word for word from a named work or page, with its location, and never written for a teacher. Statements are checked against their sources in a second, independent pass, and every profile lists its sources, so you can check them yourself.

Does the site use artificial intelligence?

Yes. Research, first drafts and the checking of statements against their sources are done with AI assistants, under the rules described here. No quotation is generated, and the admission of a teacher is always a decision by the editor.

Why no recommendations, rankings or judgements?

The paths differ, and the site does not decide between them. It describes and documents; it does not rate a teacher, a teaching or a person’s realisation. Only documented facts appear, including incriminating ones when they are established, worded soberly; allegations, rumours and critics’ opinions do not.

What about mistakes, photos and your data?

Every profile has a link to report a mistake. Photos are shown only with cleared rights: public domain, a free licence or permission, with source and author named. The site sets no tracking and stores only what a function needs; the details are in the privacy policy.

Who makes it, and how can I reach you?

The operator is named in the imprint. Use the contact page for questions, corrections and suggestions.
